Group Dog Training Classes

Group dog training classes at Uptown Pup are dynamic, engaging, information-rich courses. And class sizes are small and manageable, giving you plenty of face-to-face time with your trainer.

Uptown Pup group dog training classes are developed by our Karen Pryor certified trainers. Classes meet weekly and are $175 unless otherwise noted. Please note: Group classes may not be appropriate for dogs with behavioral issues (reactivity, aggression, or separation anxiety). Cancellation policy: Group class is 100% refundable if cancelled 14 days/more prior to the first class. And 40% refundable if cancelled less than 14 days prior to the first class. There are no refunds after the first class has commenced.

This course begins your journey to a great canine companion through puppy socialization & the foundations of positive-reinforcement training. You’ll learn base behaviors like eye-contact and focus, re-call, sit, down, and more. In addition, we teach puppy communication and uncover the ways your dog communicates with you. For dogs 6 months and under.

Vaccination Requirements: Uptown Pup requests puppies adhere to the vaccination schedule recommended by your veterinarian. As long as your puppy is up to date on your vet’s vaccine schedule, you’re eligible for Puppy Start Right.

Foundation Behaviors

Set up your dog for success with this sought-after course! We’ll teach you eye-contact, focus, attention, re-call, loose-leash walking, sit, stay, down, and mat relaxation. A great way to bond with your dog, boost confidence, and create a common language between dog and owner. For dogs of all ages.

• Tuesdays April 8th-29th, 5:00pm-6:00pm – 3 Spots Left
• Thursdays April 24th-May 15th, 6:30pm-7:30pm – FULL

Intermediate Class

Help your dog listen to you in every environment with this course! We’ll add the 3 D’s — Distance, Duration, and Distraction — and strengthen your dog’s skills in leash walking, focus, re-call, relaxation work, and more. For graduates of Foundation Behaviors or dogs already fluent in basic cues.

• Wednesdays April 9th-April 30th, 5:30pm-6:30pm – 4 Spots Left
• Thursdays April 24th-May 15th, 5:00pm-6:00pm – 5 Spots Left

Advanced Class

For those who’ve completed Intermediate class and want to apply those lessons to real-world situations. This is a 3-week course that meets in dog-friendly locations in/around Broad Ripple, and helps learners hone skills in distracting environments. Completion of our Intermediate Course is a requirement. Space in each class is limited so make sure you claim your spot today!
