Why eco-friendly?

We are committed to making the world a better place for our dogs, which to us means caring for the planet they inhabit. Below are some of the sustainable, eco-friendly practices we employ in our day-to-day business:

• 1. Reducing our carbon footprint
  • We are members of Carbon Neutral Indiana, a 501c3 nonprofit that helps Hoosiers offset their carbon emissions through capturing and destroying greenhouse gases, protecting and planting forests, and other carbon-capture projects. Being carbon-neutral means we take responsibility for, and clean up, our greenhouse gases.
    
• 2. Using sustainable products and brands
  • -In our everyday practices:
    • Our primary kennel cleaner, Kennelsol, is an EPA-registered biodegradable disinfectant/clean/deodorizer
    • Our secondary cleaner, Wysiwash, is an EPA-registered biodegradable disinfectant
    • We use Best Shot grooming products, sourced from sustainable earth-derived origins
    • We utilize laundry detergent, dish soaps, and other products with sustainable ingredients and packaging
  • -In our facility construction:
    • We use eco-friendly, low/no-VOC paint throughout our facility
    • We use soundproofing/acoustic panels made from recycled materials
    • Our water heaters are Energy-Star certified tankless systems
    • Our washers and dryers are Energy-Star certified
    • Our landscaping focuses on native plants, which supports local ecosystems and conserves water
  • -In our retail area:
    • We support and sell earth-friendly, American-made brands like Jax & Bones, Soda Pup, Planet Dog and more!
      
• 3. Recycling everything we touch
  • In addition to using products that reduce waste and use recycled/recyclable materials, our staff works hard to recycle everything we possibly can on a daily basis
